I went to see Swing Vote tonight. I thought I had missed it, but it was playing at the theater tonight. =D I liked more than I thought I would. I thought it captured some of the humor and what our expectations (whether we like them or not) of the elections are pretty well without going overboard or becoming TOO preachy. Plus, I was tearing up at the end. BAAAW ;-;

My main reason for going to see this movie was Nathan Lane. As silly as it is, I have a crush on him. =/ He wasn't in the movie a lot, but I already expected that. (He's going to be in two movies next year though. =D)

At the end I heard a couple of complaints from the audience, but honestly I don't see how they could have ended it any other way. If they had shown who won, or even implied it, then the whole message is lost. Each candidate is equally made fun of. Neither is greater than the other, but at the same time, neither is worse than the other. The movie is very unbiased, and the only qualities idealized in the movie are integrity and honesty. Just my thoughts though.

Ooo... I like the sound of the ending... I keep hearing about this move and the film seems to go along with my sense of humor. Though I'll probably wait to rent it...

I'm anxiously awaiting Eagle Eye... as I have a major crush on Mr. LaBeouf... >////>
