All the cool kids are ranting. I want to rant too. =(
I feel like posting this here, because I want to say something, but I don’t want to cause any problems over at special place. They’ve already had some drama, so this is just my way to vent.
In regards to special someone, I’m less irritated and more to the point where I feel sorry for her. In particular, her response to others urging her to get help. She said something to the effect of ‘God doesn’t grant your every whim.’ While this is true, God doesn’t want you to be unhappy and miserable. Acting for your own interests, especially when you know you’re doing something right, is not being selfish at all.
After Moses led the Hebrews out of Egypt, God told them to go into Israel and He would give them the country. The people doubted this, chose not to go, and God made them wonder in the desert for forty years, until the new generation came into leadership. The second time, Joshua led them into Israel and they took it. They didn’t take Israel by their own power. God gave it to them. However, the people had to ACT on their faith in God. Despite, everything their common sense told them, (that they would surely be slaughtered) they went in anyway, and were victorious by the power of God.
We rarely are capable of achieving great things through our own power, but that doesn’t mean that we sit around hoping things get better. Not everything we want has to be considered a selfish desire either. We also don’t mature just because we’ve been through some hard times. What really defines our maturity is our ability to actively and effectively deal with these situations. There are times where all you can do is endure, but there are also times when you can and should act. Even when you’re enduring, you should keep your mind and faith sound and not give in to despair. There is nothing wrong with wanting to live in a healthy, happy home.
Special someone made some remarks about being hesitant to do anything about her situation. She claims that it’s not helping, however, if she were to report this, there would be a lot of uncertainty for her future. I believe she’s just as scared as the consequences of solving her problem, as much as staying. She’s already said that she doesn’t want to be separated from her mother. I understand that this is a frightening situation. Sometimes it hurts to help yourself. However, the hurt won’t be as bad as it could be if you let a bad situation persist.
I want to PM this person, and encourage her to seek positive support, and deal with this effectively and in the right perspective. If it’s a minor problem, hopefully the family can seek help to fix it. If it’s truly serious, then I hope she pulls the proverbial thorn out now rather than later.
Now for some other stuffs.
1. Everyone seems to be Christian, or partly so at least. It's "normal" and therefore I would feel as if I were too impressionable if I was one.
The fact that you are so conscious of your image, shows how impressionable you are. KTHXBAI
This sounded a lot better in my head. I hope I didn't screw up what I wanted it to say in the process of typing it out.

XD
I'm not sure if that's what you meant, but that's how I took your comment.
