I wanted to get into Bleach after being exposed to a few things that people had shown me. So far I've read up to chapter 71. It's not horrible, but it's not fantastic either. The good thing about reading the manga is that I can skim through the more boring parts. Of course, then I end up seeing things like the above and...

The only characters I like right now are Orihime and Ishida. Some others are okay, like Tatsuki and Urahara. But I don't really like Ichigo at all right now. He starts out kind of interesting, but I don't see him developing very much in the story. I kind of got annoyed with him in the Don Kanonji story. You've got a character who can see spirits, despite the fact that he screwed up, he stays around to try and fix the situation, and if I remember correctly he helps Ichigo get his sword unstuck out of a wall. And yet Ichigo still yells and complains about him. Srsly STFU Ichigo.

I'm was also disappointed for the Menos Grande fight. I was all hyped and ready for Ishida and Ichigo to work together and defeat the Menos, but then the shounen cliche kicked in and Ichigo was all like "Control? Years of training? That's for the rest of you bitches." =(

I'm still enjoying it somewhat. I'm prepared to drown in the confusion of the millions of characters that show up in the next arc. 

But the real point of this post was to tell all of you that I get the Mini Menos now. Yay!

You're not the only who dislikes Ichigo. He's just another shounen cliche D= I started reading the manga in hopes of more Gin and there wasn't really much more ;-;

Oh man. Buckle up.

If you have a favorite character that isn't the biggest cliche ever? Get ready to wave goodbye to them. That's the worst part of Bleach, 60,000 characters and only goku--I mean, Ichigo matter.

I'm familiar with the pushing aside of characters. I thought it would have been cool if Tatsuki had gotten spiritual powers, but thinking it over a second, I realized she would have gone by the wayside as well. Oh well.

I felt the same way about Tatsuki. Oddly enough, she was in a few of the fighting games.
