Hellboy 2
Just got back from seeing this. It goes without saying that it's not as good as the first one, but it's still alright. I thought the beginning was pretty bad and cheesy. You're in a room filled with thousands of tiny mosquitos that'll eat your teeth and bones, watched two of your colleaques die, and then OMG j00r preggo. But anyways...The movie does get better after Krauss comes into the picture.
I love Guillermo del Toro's monster designs. I loved them in the first movie, I loved them in Pan's Labrynth, and I like them here. The monsters are all amazing, and the Troll Market scene is awesome just because it's overloaded with them. I didn't think the creatures were as interesting as they were in the first one (the Hellhounds were awesome), and these designs give off more of a fantasy atmosphere than the occult one in the first movie. Personal favorites were Krauss, the Death Angel, and the Tumor Baby. Also prettiest monster death scene I've seen. Srsly.
Still nothing beats the Nazi cyborg ninja from the original. And Seth MacFarlane was Krauss. Wtf.
